• Welcoming ceremony of  6 th  batch students was held on 01.07.2010 in the Presence of Mr. Lenin Jacob , Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpet, as the chief guest and Mr.P.S.Jaganathan ,Senior Advocate Chengalpet as the guest of honor.
• Welcoming ceremony of the Evening college First batch B.C.A & B.com., was held on 15.07.10 in the presence of  Mr. Ganesan B.A., B.L.,Senior Advocate  as the Chief Guest and  Thiru. B. Balamurugan, Commissioner of Oaths District Court, Chengalpet as the Guest of Honor.
• National level inter college tournament  was conducted by  M. O. P College , our students were participated in Throw ball and Volleyball  held  on  21,22,23 of  July 2010

• Republic day was celebrated on 26.01.2011 in the presence of Tmt. Vasuki Ramana, Hon'ble Member, State consumer council as the chief guest.
• Karuna and Enviro Club Valedictory function held on 9.3.2011 in presence of Prof.B.Ramanathan, Former HOD of History, Presidency College and Joint Secretary of Karuna Club as the Chief Guest

• N.S.S Annual day was held on 17.03.2011 in presence of Thiru.S.Muthukrishnan, General Manager, UCAL Fuel Systems Limited as the Chief Guest.

ACHIEVEMENTS OF VIDHYA SAGAR

• Annual Training camp was held on 10.07.2010 .In that 20 colleges were participated and our college got the Over all Championship award.
• Our student of I BA (Eng) got I prize in District level Drawing Competition held at Anderson.Hr.Sec. School, Kanchipuram on 25.09.2010.
• District level sports meet was held on 3 & 4th of Aug 2010 at Kanchipuram. Our students are the winners in Kabbadi competition.
• Selection of  IGC / RDC camp training held on 21.8.10 in which 5 students from  our college got selected.
• National level Technical Symposium at SRM University was held on 16 th & 17 th of Sep' 2010 our students were participated in various events like paper presentation, postal presentation, Quiz etc.,and won various prizes.
• Athletics in Inter college meet (Medical College) held on 7th, 8th sep' 2010.Our students are the winners in Tennikot, Third place in volley ball & Runners in athletic.
• Our students V. Divya Bharathi & Poornima Selvi won I Prize in Animation Movie at National Level Technical Symposuim, SRM University.
• Our student M. Kamali IIB.com(G) selected in IGC/RDC training for participating in Republic day parade in New Delhi.
• In Campus Interview seven students of our college got selected in Sutherland and four of them got selected in AVIVA.

• Miss.S.Archana of B.Sc Software Engineering had got Gold Medal in the University of Madras and our students of software engineering got first ten University Rank holders.
• Miss. R.Saranya of M.Com had got Gold Medal in the University of Madras and our students of M.Com got first three University Rank holders.
• Our students are extremely well in academic too. On the whole all the departments have produced good results in the university examinations. Department of Computer Science has secured 95% , Department of English has secured 91%, Department of Commerce 93%, Department of Maths 90% and Department of BBA 90%. More than 30 of our students have scored Centum in various subjects
